Our towbars are ADR 62.02 certified and built in Toowoomba, QLD, for real Aussie conditions.

Selecting Your Airglide Towbar

Please call our team for help in selecting the appropriate model. There are several key criteria that will determine the towbar for your needs:

  • Suitable air supply is required
  • Weight of towed trailer
  • Wheel sizes 16”, 17.5”, 19.5”, 22.5”
  • Chassis height of the towing vehicle
  • Amount of clear chassis space available for mounting plates
  • The length of the chassis from the end of the tray
  • Is there anything in the way of the towbar mounting area (hydraulics, spare tyres, toolboxes, etc)

4.5 Tonne Mk2

For higher chassis trucks – usually with a chassis height over 1m.

  • Rated for towing 4.5 tonne
  • Compatible with 11R22.5 tyres and some low-profile 22.5’s
  • Great for bigger trucks with heavy-duty suspension
  • Fits under a ring feeder
  • Need 751mm of clear space at the rear of the truck

4.5 Tonne Mk3

For lower chassis trucks – usually with a chassis height under 1m

  • Rated for towing 4.5 tonnes
  • Compatible with 16”, 17.5”, 19.5” and some low-profile 22.5’s
  • Great for smaller trucks or trucks with long overhang
  • Can be used with some buses or bigger utes
  • More compact and allows higher clearance
  • Need 630mm of clear space at the rear of the truck
4.5T Mk3

4.5 Tonne Mk4 – Brand New Model

For four-wheel drive adventure trucks or trucks that require maximum clearance.

  • Rated for towing 4.5 tonnes
  • Compatible with 16”, 17.5”, 19.5” and some low-profile 22.5’s
  • Great for smaller trucks that have limited space
  • Can be used with some buses or bigger utes
  • The most compact and allows maximum clearance

7 Tonne Mk2 - 22.5/7T

For higher chassis trucks – usually with a chassis height over 1m.

  • Rated for towing 7 tonnes (heavy duty)
  • Compatible with 11R22.5 tyres and some low-profile 22.5’s
  • Great for bigger trucks with heavy-duty suspension
  • Fits under a ring feeder

7 Tonne Mk3 - 16.0-19.5/7T

For lower chassis trucks – usually with a chassis height under 1m

  • Rated for towing 7 tonnes (heavy duty)
  • Compatible with 16”, 17.5”, 19.5” and some low-profile 22.5’s
  • Great for smaller trucks or trucks with long overhang
  • More compact and allows higher clearance

5th Wheel Model

Made for fifth wheel caravans and gooseneck trailers

  • Custom-designed for 5th wheel setups
  • Gooseneck ball model to go in the tray of the truck, custom-made
